How we support students experiencing homelessness

Pathways is a Student Support Services Program that helps students experiencing homelessness access education, job training, and essential resources. The program offers personalized case management and support to help students complete their educational goals, transition to college or career, and secure wraparound services like mental health support, transportation, school supplies, and textbooks.

  • Earn a job training certificate in as little as six (6) months
  • Get help with program and class textbooks, school supplies, and materials
  • Receive transportation assistance for approved program activities
  • Explore career opportunities and access career and job placement assistance
  • Apply for the Employment Incentive Program or explore internship opportunities
  • Access to CE Promise and transition to college support


Program Eligibility

  • Must be enrolled in or planning to enroll in SDCCE’s High School Diploma Program (HSDP), GED, and/or a Career Technical Education (CTE) program
  • Meet with a Pathways staff member to determine eligibility based on housing status
  • Complete SDCCE’s enrollment and registration process (Pathways provides support from start to finish)
  • Attend a Pathways orientation and complete required intake steps with staff
  • Complete an SDCCE program orientation (if applicable) and a Student Education Plan
  • Commit to actively participating in your own success!
