Introduction to Embroidery and Digitizing

This course explores the entire spectrum of embroidery techniques, from hand embroidery and free motion stitching to industrial machine embroidery and design digitization. This course is designed to provide students with a well-rounded understanding of embroidery, from its rich historical roots to its modern applications in commercial industry and artisans' creative projects. Students use the various techniques explored in the class to create multiple embroidered textile products. (FT)
